The Martin D-28 Re-imagined is the epitome of Dreadnought Acoustic Guitars. Built from a solid combination of Sitka Spruce and Rosewood, this instrument is in the same iconic league as a Fender Stratocaster or Gibson Les Paul. Its been there, done it and got the t-shirt. nearly every great artist has played a D-28 on a record or live. It's a timeless classic.
This Re-imagined D-28 welcomes subtle changes, a new vision or perspective on the famous Standard range. The new appointments are recognisable, however subtle and beautifully finished. The clear coat finish has a tinted vintage toner to give a more aged feel, the headstock bears an older style logo & open gear tuners; the body features aged binding and the neck has a wonderful modern carve for a much more playable feel. The changes are there and very welcome without detracting from the real heritage this brand has to offer.
The tone is as expected, bottom heavy, top heavy with sweet spot right done the midrange. Pick it, strum it, gig it or record, however you play it you are guaranteed to get the most authentic acoustic guitar tone ever designed.
