C.F. Martin - Notification of Specification Change
C.F. Martin & Co. Specification Change
As you are no doubt aware disruptions in the global supply chain due to COVID-19 have caused severe shortages of raw materials and components for many consumer products worldwide, unfortunately, C. F. Martin & Co. Inc. are not exempt from these shortages.
Martin has recently informed us that their supplier of “faux tortoise” Scratch Plate/Pick Guards are experiencing shortages of these materials for an as-yet-undetermined amount of time. Faced with this challenge, CFM & Co. have made the decision to fit Black Scratch Plate/Pick Guards instead of “faux tortoise” on some of their guitars so they can continue with regular production of the affected models that we’ve all been anxiously awaiting.
Martin’s website will reflect this specification change soon.
